Every time I get back into writing or “journaling”, it’s always the same thing: what should I use? What’s the best system? What can I sync across devices so that…

And little writing gets done. I guess everyone does this. It’s annoying to think of the possibility of dedicating so much time and effort to something so that when it takes off, you’re left with a shitty platform that has you locked in and can’t go anywhere with your writing or followers.

The nasty part is the mere idea of it “taking off”. For what? Yes, there are plenty of people that write for a living. So many that I’m surprised the primary server pollutant isn’t AI but just regular life crisis mediocre writers like all of us!

But I’m here… trying out write.as.
