[Master of Parking]

-iksong-

The sound of tire squeaking surprised Ikjun as he was about to step out of the car. A big smile appeared on his face as he saw a very familiar black SUV coming in his direction.

The perfect off-road vehicle hastily made a left turn and parked in the spot right next to Ikjun’s car.

‘Mwoyaa?’ he chuckled, shaking his head as he opened the door.

Songhwa harshly grabbed her bag and eagerly jumped out of the car with a beam on her face.

‘Ikjun-ah!’ she greeted. For her, there’s no other way better than seeing Ikjun the first thing in the morning. Even back in the days when they were still friends, Ikjun’s presence never fails to lighten up Songhwa’s face.

‘Look.’ she proudly pointed to her car, perfectly parked in between the borderlines.

Ikjun nodded his head and smiled. ‘I know. You’re the parking master.’

Songhwa giggled. She flung one hand over to her shoulder, preventing the sling bag from loosing down.

‘Though I don’t like it.’ Ikjun murmured.

‘You don’t like what?’

‘You.’ he pouted. ‘Driving like that.’

Her eyes sparkled at Ikjun’s words. He’s concerned for her, he cares a lot about her, and that causes her heart to flutter.

‘Are you worried about me?’ She taunted him. ‘Are you worried that I might drive into a street sign or perhaps... got in a rear-end accident?’

Ikjun shushed her as he raised one arm over to Songhwa’s head, removing a tiny stain off her hair. ‘Don’t you ever say something like that again.’

She smiled again. ‘Arasseo. I’m sorry. I was just joking.’

‘Next time, you should’ve let me drive. The two of us. Going to the hospital together.’ Ikjun sneered. Songhwa hit his arms in response. ‘Yaa... you know we can’t do that just yet. Not now.’

‘I know...’ Ikjun sighed.

‘Come on then, let’s go up.’ Songhwa said as she started to walk. ‘I probably won’t survive the day without my hot latte.’

As if a strike of lightning, Ikjun suddenly grabbed Songhwa’s arm and pulled her by the waist.

‘Yaaa Lee Ikjun!’ yelled Songhwa. ‘What is it now?’

Ikjun flashed her a cheeky, devilish grin. He was standing right in front of Songhwa, slowly pushing her back until her back was pressed against the vehicle’s quarter panel.

‘Once we step in that elevator and go up, we’ll be stuck around the guys and our colleagues the whole day.’ Ikjun said with his arms still lingered around Songhwa’s waist. She placed both hands on his chest, biting her lower lips, holding back the smile and flushed cheeks.

‘Yes. Just like always.’ She joked. ‘Now, what are you suggesting?’

Ikjun cupped her face and caressed her cheeks with his thumbs. His eyes watched over Songhwa’s lips, waiting to taste the sweetness of it.

‘Kiss me.’ he said, tilting his head slightly to the side.

‘Mwo?’

‘Kiss me.’ Ikjun repeated. ‘I won’t be able to taste that sweet and soft lips of yours throughout the day, so please allow me to have a bit of it now.’

Songhwa rolled her eyes. What a goofball. What a silly Lee Ikjun.

‘Just so you know, things like this don’t-‘

Without warning, Ikjun furrowed his brows and kissed Songhwa passionately. He placed one hand on the back of her head and the other on Songhwa’s back, gently rubbing her backside.

Just right when Songhwa finally loosened up and began to respond to the kiss, Ikjun pulled back and smiled broadly from ear to ear.

‘I’m sorry, are you sure you-‘

‘Shut up, Lee Ikjun.’ Songhwa protested before smashing her lips on Ikjun’s once more. She felt how Ikjun smiled in between their kiss, the way he brought her closer to him.

Hesitantly, their lips began to part from each other. Ikjun gave her another press before brushing the tip of his nose to Songhwa’s. She refused to move her hands, still in the exact same position, on Ikjun’s chest.

She looked up to Ikjun; in return, he gave her a peck on the forehead.

‘I love you.’ he whispered.

‘I know.’

Ikjun took a step back before offering her his hand. ‘Now, let’s go. Let’s get you that hot chocolate.’

Songhwa stopped and frowned. ‘Latte.’

‘Huh?’

‘It’s hot latte, not hot chocolate.’

Ikjun was left dumbfounded before realizing he mentioned the wrong drink and burst out into laughter. ‘Right... hot latte.’

As the two shared a good laugh, a car honked from a distance, causing the two to be startled and stopped walking.

‘Ya Ahn Jeongwon!’

Jeongwon hurriedly stepped out of the car and ran to the elevator. ‘Someone, please park my car.’

‘Oh and...’ Jeongwon turned around. ‘Would you guys care to explain? It’s the basement, for goodness sake.’ he said before running back to the designated direction.

The two stared at each other confused. Not quite sure what Jeongwon meant by what he said.

‘Yaa... we’re doomed.’ Songhwa said.

Ikjun scratched the back of his head. ‘W-well... let’s just pray he didn’t mean our.... uh.. that....’

‘We’re totally screwed.’
