Truth Social Only Made A Million Dollars...Since 2022‽

Even though Truth Social is the largest Fediverse instance by account size (at least until Threads arrives with over 110 million users), the defederated Mastodon variant only made a million dollars since it’s debut in February.
The new report says Trump Media & Technology Group, which runs the social network Truth Social, reported receiving about $1.2 million in advertising, a paltry sum compared with the ad revenue of Twitter and other social media rivals Trump has long said it would supplant. (Washingtonpost, discovered via The Messenger)
This revenue figure would seem impressive if it were not for the fact that the former President of the United States routinely posts upon Truth Social.
Truth Social would expectingly have higher revenues than this, at least (from my expectation) around $100 million given Donald Trump’s popularity amongst the GOP faithful. I wonder if the reason for lackluster results could be Truth Social’s lack of appeal from advertisers‽ 😉
