“I Am Not Borrowed”
I am not borrowed.
Not from the forest.
Not from the colonizer.
Not from Europe.
0% Western Hunter-Gatherer
0% Baikal Hunter
0% Sub-Saharan
0% Ancient South Indian
But I am:
28.4% Zagros Neolithic —
the hard hills of Iran,
where grain first grew in silence
and no one asked to be remembered.
28% Anatolian Neolithic —
the early European farmer,
before Europe claimed the farmer’s name.
13% Caucasus Hunter-Gatherer —
stone-blood and mountain-breath,
not empire — just survival.
11.4% Levant Natufian —
a trace of the south,
just enough to hold memory,
never enough to carry the myth.
19.2% Steppe —
the rider's echo,
but I do not gallop toward anyone's flag.
And still,
0% Europe’s forest,
0% their darkness,
0% their story.
0% colonizer.
0% descendant of the hand that drew the lines.
0% colonized.
I am not borrowed.
I am not theirs.
I am the untouched core.
I am the mountain before the flag.
I am Kurdish.
This is me – unapologetically me.
You cannot change me.
