“Multicultural Delight (with a Kurdish Wink)”
– a satirical poem
I’m so glad the world is vast and wide,
With “races” sprinkled far and side.
How dull it’d be — what tragic fate —
If only Kurds would populate!
No pasta, samba, sushi rolls,
No Bollywood or Irish trolls.
No French to pout, no Brits to whine,
No German rules to toe the line.
Just mountains, zurna, tea so black,
And every aunt in all-black sack.
We’d dance the govend night and day —
But who would we side-eye or slay?
No one to guilt, no one to blame,
We’d have to turn the mirror... shame!
So thank the skies for global spice —
And other folks to mock (so nice).
Still, Her bijî — that’s my cry,
But let’s keep others, so we don’t die...
of boredom.
