Genetic/Narcissistic Rage

They came with crosses,
iron on their shields,
tongues of fire calling themselves Crusaders,
Jesuits in their zeal,
writing faith into blood and stone.

The Jesuits are Christians,
all of them —
but not all Christians are Jesuits.
Some pray in silence,
some carry no sword,
some never march east to burn cities by the sea.

Yet history remembers the ones who did,
the ones who tied their creed to conquest,
and left behind the taste of ashes.

Crusaders, Jesuits, Christians —
all tangled in the same root,
but only a few chose the path
that turned prayer into steel.
