They say “diaspora Kurds”
like they know my name,
like they wrote my history.
But I’m not even Kurdish.
Not in blood,
not in the bones they think they’ve mapped.
They got it all wrong.
Maybe they don’t even mean me,
because I’m not considered diaspora Kurdish.
Let them keep their labels,
I’ll burn mine before they pin it to me.
