Genetic/Narcissistic Rage

What If Darwin Was an Idiot?
What if Darwin missed us?
What if he never saw us,
the ones who survived
in the cracks of empire?
He wrote of the strongest,
those who would pass on their genes,
but did he see us?
Did he see the Kurds?

We have no country,
but we have survived.
We have no flag to call our own,
but we have kept our fire burning.
He said the strongest would pass their genes,
but what of the ones left behind?
What of those who fought,
who bled,
who were scattered across the land?
What happens when strength is not enough?

We still exist —
despite borders that don’t belong to us,
despite centuries of erasure,
despite those who would rewrite our name.
We are still here.
But where is our land?
Where is the recognition that says we belong?

He spoke of survival —
but survival isn’t just about land,
it’s about the soul of a people,
the strength to keep your name
alive when the world says you don’t belong.
We pass on our genes not just in blood,
but in stories and dreams,
in the words we speak when no one listens.

So maybe Darwin didn’t see us.
Maybe he didn’t understand
that survival isn’t just about strength.
It’s about resilience —
about living in the face of oppression,
about enduring when the world tries to erase you.
The strongest may survive,
but the ones who have been scattered —
they’re the ones who build empires in silence.

If Darwin was an idiot,
maybe it was because he didn’t see the truth.
It’s not just about strength,
it’s about existence.
And the Kurds,
we exist —
without borders, without a country,
but stronger than ever.

Let Kurdistan be drawn onto the maps.
