some of my thoughts and notes

French Roads

I had thought that driving my Citroën back to France would be only a nice experience but as it turns out there really was a reason why Citroën engineers emphasized the suspension of their cars so much.

Judging from the quality of some roads and the looks of some houses, France is a developing country, and judging from the hate and impatience of some drivers, the country must be on the brink of societal collapse.

When someone almost bumps into my back on a country road only to almost crash into me while overtaking, this seeming attempt at killing me could easily trigger a defensive reaction in me today.

At one point when I saw the same guy doing the same thing to the next car ahead, I was very tempted to make use of my solid front bumper to just destabilize his rear and send him into the ditch.

But luckily I came back to my senses in time and realized the risk that would cause for me and others.

But crazy enough, in this moment, I would not have minded killing the guy. I guess this goes a long way showing how reactionary I can be.

Sometimes, without thinking about it, I just become a reflector of other people's moods and behaviors.
