Pack
I like the feeling of leaving a place with a full backpack.
In my current situation, I travel between my workshop and my home with all the tools and artefacts that I only have once and could possibly need at any one of the two places. So I carry them to and back from work.
In my back, I pack:
My bicycle lock, my notebook charger, a thermo bottle, a water bottle, my mouse, my sketch- and notebook, two pencils, a sharp cutter, a ruler, a tape measure, a heavy tesa roller, a phone charger, my notebook, a film can with weed an a pack of long papes.
In my jacket I carry my keys and my wallet, my headphones, and a pack of tobacco, short papes, filters and two lighters.
My way home is amazingly easy. I pedal hard for a second, with a bit of luck and good approximation pass the traffic light, and then I stick my hands in my pockets, lean forward, and let go. That's sufficient for all the way home.
My way to the workshop is short, but exhausting if I do it right. The first part is flat, ascending to a moderate incline. Passing the traffic light with the right speed is even harder this way and after trying to match the speed of the car traffic, I'm pretty exhausted when I arrive at the gate.
