Supermarkets
Supermarkets are an amazingly convenient and affordable source of food.
The three small potatoes and two eggs that I had for breakfast today probably cost me less than a Euro and yet they gave me energy for the entire day.
I don't even have to compromise on quality. I bought the best eggs and potatoes I could find in the supermarket.
And yet I observe people buying the lowest quality food for the craziest prices. Think pasta salad in a plastic box. And they probably even have access to a kitchen.
I can't help but think that for the same money they could have spent an evening in a premium restaurant.
Not that I want to shame anyone – I'm also occasionally buying junkfood, but that's also why this sticks out to me this much.
Let's not waste our money on unpleasant luxuries.
