The Next Wave
In the common industry, there has been a wave of design thinking.
Five years ago, when I started studying Industrial Design, the wave seemed to be at its peak.
Critics say that design thinking is still deeply conservative.
Design has always been a transdisciplinary form of knowledge creation.
So now that the old wave is long gone, the question is: What is the next big wave that will go through the industry?
I've pondered the idea that the concept of Love in the sense of reduced conflict and cooperation might be the next big thing.
But now my thesis is that the next wave will be Humour.
Those online platforms that show a sense of humour are the best. They are thought through and great to use. It's easy to interact with them.

Humour is a way to deal with the insufficiency of the world and of humans. In a broader sense, humour is when we connect things that were not connected before. It's a moment of understanding.
