about

We focus on Human Rights elsewhere, in more or less distant geographies. And that is a necessary thing.

But …

What is called “corruption” in deemed incivic far away societies, is called “collegiality” in our self-righteous civilised western world. The eye of the beholder calls “bribery” to be “collaboration”. The rule of law commands toxic loyalty.

Shared solutions for all humanity are mocked.

By focusing on far away Human Rights Violations we deflect scrutiny of our seemingly orderly backyards. No need to be a sensorial autist, the stench of human rights violations on our doorstep is unbearably omnipresent. So much so our favourite sport is shoulder shrugging, and getting on with it.

I'm one of those thorns in the butt, that fly on the wall. That nitpick who'll not let wrongdoers get away with it.

Not without consequence. Police call me a danger to society for daring to document in detail. Prosecutors ardently try to look the other way pretexting “too much evidence”. Perpetrators, true to their nature, retaliate and repress.

Yet, the purpose of weeds is to bring nature back into balance, deliver life saving components, … and despite all odds keep growing back until balance is restored.

JP.
