In the face of failure or setback I usually go one of two ways:

Strong self-criticism; “I am 'stupid' and I should be ashamed for my mistakes. No one likes you for who you are and how you act. You are such a little crybaby.”

Blaming others for injustice; resentment towards those who have bullied, scolded, beaten, or discriminated me.
My parents, sibling, school teachers and peers, doctors and nurses, police officers, etc.
