A notebook by Jordan Nielsen about a life of exploring, the recreational vehicles that get us there and the industry surrounding it all.

About

Hey there, I’m Jordan Nielsen, your friendly neighbourhood Red Seal RV Service Technician and Certified RV Gas Fitter currently working with the great team at Trademasters | Line-X in Chilliwack, BC.

From a simple dream of owning a campervan in my teens to having one as an adult, RV life has been intriguing and inspiring for my journey into becoming an RV technician. In June 2021, I was interviewed for the RVDA website and in their RV Tech Week newsletter. I have also been a three-time recipient of the RVDA technician bursary.

I enjoy helping be a positive part of meeting your vacation expectations with your RV. They are a considerable expense, well-equipped and need to perform when you are enjoying your time away. To complement this experience, I bring professionalism and detail-orientated care to every RV repair.

My technical proficiencies include significant electrical expertise in solar, inverters and troubleshooting base electrical systems. Custom cabinetry and structural reconstruction.

My interests range from:

Recreational vehicles of all sizes, camping, and consumer technologies.

What I’m learning about now:

I believe that every profession needs to be guided by lifelong learning. I continue to study the techniques and qualities of those who went before and what are best practices now.

Currently, I am studying cabinetry design, techniques and European Campervans.
