Due to the dire humanitarian situation in Palestine, Nato countries (with the exception of US) recognized Palestinian state and, as agreed with Palestinian Authority and Hamas, to send troops to secure Palestine boarders within the geographical limits established in past UN resolutions.

The Nato countries also decided to patrol Palestinian waters and boarder crossing with Egypt to allow entry of humanitarian aid.
