Anne of Green Gables Review

So I finally watched Anne of Green Gables and I've been meaning to give a review on it but never got a chance to until now.

I liked it. What makes Anne of Green Gables unique is that it's a story about a happy ending. Most movies spend 90% of the time having the characters fight and suffer in blood and sweat and tears. When we finally get to their happy ending, we only see 10 minutes of it.

But with Anne of Green Gables, the whole movie is her happy ending so it's higher reward. We see her suffer in the first few minutes of the movie but then the happy ending starts right away from the moment she moves to Green Gables and enters the avenue with the cherry blossoms. She's living the dream and we got to see her live it. Yes, there are little things that move the plot forward but much of it is lighthearted.

“You know something, Diana? We are rich. We have sixteen years to our credit, and we both have wonderful imaginations. We should be as happy as queens.”

That is all.
