In the depths of my being, darkness resides,
A shadowed veil that stifles my strides.
It wraps around my soul, an unwelcome guest,
Feeding doubts, leaving my spirit oppressed.
Amidst the chaos, questions arise,
Concerns of gender, a puzzle in disguise.
For society's gaze, I don't fit their mold,
My reflection, a story yet untold.
How can I see my body as others do,
When the mirror distorts, concealing what's true?
The whispers of beauty, they pass me by,
I'm left wondering, why do I comply?
Pretty, cute, and lovely, they say,
But these words fall flat, lost in the fray.
I yearn for acceptance, to feel truly seen,
To unravel the layers that lie in between.
And oh, the ache within, a longing so deep,
For someone to love me, my soul to keep.
To embrace me wholly, for who I am,
In their tender arms, to finally understand.
I yearn for a love that sees beyond,
The external trappings, the societal bond.
A love that cherishes my every hue,
The intricacies and depths that make me true.
For in this darkness, a glimmer awaits,
A flame that flickers, defying the fates.
It's the ember of self-love, burning bright,
Igniting the courage to challenge the night.
And as I strive to love myself, unconditionally,
I'll attract a love that sees my authenticity.
A love that embraces me, just as I am,
With open arms, an unbreakable dam.
So let the darkness wane, its hold released,
I'll rise above, embracing my inner peace.
No longer confined by society's view,
I'll redefine beauty, both old and anew.
For I am more than pretty, more than cute,
I'm a force to be reckoned with, resolute.
In the tapestry of life, I'll paint my hue,
A masterpiece of self-love, shining through.
And when love arrives, as surely it will,
It'll find me ready, my heart open still.
For the one who truly sees, understanding my worth,
Will love me fiercely, for all I am since birth.
