We Made It!
We made it to beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama. Disgruntled because of traffic. Raging at other drivers who don’t drive like Illinoians (not me). Content to finally make it.
This picture is me teasing Leo and Sydney. It looked like they might beat us here, but somehow Vinnie, Kaylee and I made it first. So, I sent them this to say, “We’re here before you!” Didn’t race. It was more like the story of the tortoise and the hare. And we slowpokes somehow made it first. So, I told them, hoping they’d slow down just a little.
That’s the place we’re staying behind me.
I’m having difficulty uploading the pictures, but here’s yours truly at night on the opposite side of the condos looming over me. I’m sitting down in a lawn chair on the beach facing the ocean. It would have been perfect save for the smoldering humidity. But even that couldn’t stop us from jumping in the pool before eating seafood.
This picture shows the Gulf of Mexico at night with a bit of glowing algae, I think. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google “glowing algae” and the Gulf of Mexico.
No more photos are allowed by the internet, my laptop and whoever else deemed it so. Thought I had some pictures of the kids but… no.
