The Long Road North #9

First, Leo tried to kill me at a slow pace on kiddy slopes.

We then had diner and slept under the wonderful rain of Norway. Famous for being non-stop heavy.

Next morning, I do a solo run to Rundermanen, one of the nearby peak.

It started raining a bit as I went. The closer I got from Rundermanen, the heavier the rain. Arriving at 562 meters high, I’m soaked from head to toes.

I try to find a shelter. I hear weird heavy machinery noises, a big antenna appears and disappears behind the fog. I find a sealed bunker… I head back a bit to find what seemed to be an old mining entrance. I see two people inside and ask if I can wait a few minutes with them under the shelter. They agree.

I met Kris and Maite.

Two folks who wanted to enjoy, like me, the pleasures of the Norwegian landscape.

We had a nice chat, laughing about our mutual rain experiences. They offered me coffee and kindness.

Even stranded in the rain, we could share something meaningful, so thank you for that :)
