I did not know him
I mean, if you showed me a picture
But that's about it

Grieving with you seems to be something I should do out of respect
I can collect the empathy, but cannot muster the sympathy

He was fifteen years older than me
We did not gather by the time I had memories
If I remind you of that, it will only make the pain more acute

So I play the game of pretending my feelings are not normal

It is so sad
He was in such pain
What a nice man
I will miss him
