The memorial for Mr. Kirk is finally over. POTUS said Kirk is the “greatest evangelist for American liberty”. Unfortunately Mr. Kirk's fans have long been told lies. Mr. Kirk spent his adult life fomenting hate. He has told countless people that the United States was a christian country, having been started by a group of christians. There is absolutely no proof that this country was was founded by any such group. There is proof that George Washington attended church exactly twice in his entire life. Thomas Jefferson built his own bible, discarding the other one. This christian nationalism is a lie.

Mr. Kirk also told folks that LGBTQ+ people were out to corrupt children. The criminal data shows that the vast majority of children that were abused, were abused by heterosexuals, usually in their own families. As science advances, the origin of LGBTQ+ people is gradually being revealed. Their origin has nothing to do with religion, anyone's religion. These people are creations of nature. They should never be an object of Mr. Kirk's or anyone's hate speech.

The christian conservatives like Mr. Kirk do not follow the example of their god to love each other. Kirk told people they should hate. None of the gods currently being worshiped in America, and there are many different ones, tell their worshipers to hate others, not even the christian one. But, Mr. Kirk did. He made a career telling lies and sowing hate. He made money telling lies. One individual decided that Mr. Kirk had told enough lies and decided to make him stop. That man acted for his best friend and for all of America. He should be celebrated, not bigot Kirk.
