POTUS Doesn't Care if You Starve
Hello. I hope the beginning of your week has gone well.
Many people in this country are near totally dependent on SNAP benefits. These are the folks, often well below the poverty line, who use an EBT or Electronic Benefits Transfer card which would allow the holder to buy basic foods for their families. SNAP is Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. It is the process the federal government uses to assist the poor to make sure they don't starve.
What is POTUS and his party doing to insure that people won't go hungry? The answer is NOTHING. He has refused to negotiate with the other party which caused the government to shut down. Instead POTUS has decided to go visiting through the middle and far east. Anything is better than having to stay home and do his job.
So now the very poor and needy are going to be without any help to purchase food starting on November 1st. Their food needs now will have to be filled by local food banks which are already hard pressed to provide these services. Of course POTUS doesn't care, he will be fed no matter what happens. Thanks POTUS!!!
