POTUS Enjoys a Good Shutdown

Hello and welcome to Tuesday. Almost half way through the workweek.

While you have been toiling away trying to earn a living, POTUS has been partying with politicians from Ukraine and Australia. The government is closed, meaning the part that comes under the executive branch. The other two branches, legislative and judicial are still being paid. Their employees may not be receiving pay but the bosses are.

The judges, senators and representatives are being paid because that pesky Constitution requires it, but the people who work for them are out of luck.

By the way, were you planning on flying some place for business or to visit friends and relatives. Please check with your airline before you leave home because many airports are having trouble keeping air traffic controllers in the towers and many flights are being canceled as a result. These employees have bills to pay and they need to be paid. POTUS doesn’t seem to think that is true. After all, he has a plane that you pay for at his beck and call.

POTUS is the cause of the shutdown because he cannot be trusted to spend funds appropriated by Congress in the way they want. That is the real cause of the shutdown. We have never had a president who could not be trusted to obey the constitution until now. Thanks POTUS!
