Hi. Hope you are well and happy. Hope your football team won too.

Lately POTUS has been threatening people who speak out against his actions. Specifically, POTUS does not like anyone who disagrees with his positions. I guess that includes me. Are you a smart one too?

Politicians have had critics since really ancient times. It is nothing new. The way they respond in this country, with this Constitution, should be different. In our history we have had presidents try to shut up their critics. John Adams had the Alien and Sedition Act to quiet his critics until the Supreme Court said he didn't. No president can shut their critics up, the First Amendment provides the right to say almost anything you want about the Government, even lie. It is the price we pay to prevent the Government from shutting us up.

So, when POTUS attacks his critics, the First Amendment is the guardian of our rights. Thanks Tommy Jefferson.
