POTUS Rakin' in the Dough
I hope your day is going well. It certainly is for POTUS. He just made a deal with a middle eastern potentate for $2 Billion. First came the plane, now he is selling access to an AI chip in exchange for the BILLIONS. I bet he doesn't even own the chip or have a stake in the manufacturing process. All he is selling is access to the chip. Nearly all high end data processing equipment like this is prohibited from leaving the country, because this is the stuff that smart bombs and military planes are made with. Protect the country and keep the stuff away from your competitors.
But really, what do you expect from a guy like POTUS. I know there's that pesky Emoluments Clause (Article I, Section 9, Clause 8) in that irritating Constitution. It pretty much says, if you are getting paid by the government, you can't be getting stuff from from anyone else.
As with most of the Constitution, POTUS doesn't think it applies to him, at least that's what his cohorts are telling him. I hope he knows that he doesn't get to keep the plane when he goes in 2028. POTUS knows that he can manipulate the courts to do what he wants. Who else do you know was convicted 30+ times and is still walking the streets? What he can't do is manipulate the calendar, at least not yet. Be well.
