#POTUS Where are we going next?
Did you know that POTUS decreed that the government must stop issuing paper checks. While I applaud the attempt at efficiency. We must consider all those that the government owes money to, that do not have a bank account, because that is what you need to cash a check in this country and get the full value of that piece of paper. If you get a check and you don't have a bank account, you are at the mercy of one of those check cashing stores and the money they subtract from the check value to provide you their service.
Why don't people have bank accounts? Simple, in this country you must be a US citizen with a Social Security Number to get a bank account. Guess who might not have an SSN? All those people that POTUS is trying to deport. The hard working folks that make your bed and vacuum your room at your hotel. Or maybe the folks that do the back breaking work of harvesting your food. (I know you like to eat. I do too.)
Yet, these same people who must get paid in cash to survive here, can easily be used to do all the work Americans don't want to do either because the work is too hard or the pay is too low. Why is the pay low, because employers know one word to ICE will get a troublesome person removed, so they can pay anything they want and no one will complain. The old idea that aliens are taking jobs that Americans want is really a lie. No one wants these jobs. They are difficult and cause a lot of pain but someone must do them for us because, we won't do them for ourselves.
Let us thank the aliens among us for what they do, and provide them a way to join us as Americans.
