Democracy
Democracy is the foundation of our Great America. It is 'of the people, by the people, for the people.' At least, that is our tagline. (Motto) Why, then, must I choose between a two-party system? Why does it require me to be on the right or left?
Can I not be some of both? I have two arms; one is on the right, and the other is on the left. If I use only one while ignoring the other, my productivity is less than half of what it could be. Sometimes my right hand is more practical, and sometimes my left.
My best is when I can use both. I can say the same thing about our country’s leaders. They achieve less than half of their obtainable potential when using only one side.
Why can’t we require the legislators to use both sides? Or, unbeknownst to us, did they pass a law requiring the “other” side always to be wrong?
