* 4 Carrots (matchstick/julienne cut)
* 1 large Onion (chopped)

* 1 cup Basmati Rice
* 1 tsp Salt
* 2 tsp Black Pepper (divided)

* 7 threads Saffron

* 2 cups microwaved Water (divided)
* 2 tbsp Olive oil
* 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter

  1. Sit rice in boiled water bowl for 30 minutes, then rinse.

  2. Pat-dry chicken (or beef) with paper towel, then season with salt and black pepper.

  3. Heat a large deep skillet, and add olive oil.

  4. Add chicken (or beef) until golden brown.

  5. Add rice, butter, cumin, black pepper, paprika, onion, garlic, carrots. Saute until onion becomes translucent.
