Writing after a while 😊

Talking about the Ethnicity, I do not use the term Middle Eastern no more, because that label was created by western constructs and it does not represent how I see my identity. If I want to describe myself in a way that is scientific and accurate, I say that I am from Western Asia. It is simple, neutral and it just describes geography.
Possibly ppl will act stupid and confused after that, I just name different countries until they know the region.

If someone wants a deeper explanation and want to outsmart me I tell them that most of us in Iran belong to the Iranian branch of the Indo Iranian group inside the Indo European family. It is an old lineage with its own history, languages and culture. There is also the Iranian Plateau, which is the land our cultures grew on long before modern borders existed.

So when I talk about my ethnicity, I describe myself through my actual roots, not through labels made by Eurocentrism. I am Iranian, from Western Asia, part of the Iranian peoples with a long and real history behind us.
