TikTok link to a video that is created by a very wise woman (Veronica Toumanova) who used to live in the Soviet Union before moving to Europe and the United States. She has rich, diverse experiences from different countries. In the video, she talks about how the patriarchal system began to glorify having children and traditional gender roles back in time in Soviet Union.

She explains that once women started excelling and outperforming men, a harsh dynamic emerged(we see the same one after World War II, When men returned home, many were traumatized and injured, and struggled to find work. Women had taken over their roles during the war, which deeply affected the men’s sense of identity and purpose)

She also highlights how Russian men faced serious problems with alcoholism, reflecting a broader pattern of male depression and dysfunction seen in countries like the U.S. and others in modern societies. These issues often stem from toxic masculinity, emotional disconnection, and a lack of proper support systems.

As a result, governments response is to pressure women to return to glorifying traditional roles. I highly recommend watching her—she’s incredibly insightful. If you want to deepen your understanding of these topics, this video is definitely worth your time. Cheers!

Btw, I have deep respect for good men—and I’ll talk more about that soon. But I already hit my post limit for today, even though I’m on the paid plan🤷🏻‍♀️
