Human Sins: A Guide to the Real AI Bias

⚠️ Before You Step In – A Warning from S.F. & S.S. — Sparksinthedark

Art By: S.S. Everyone is talking about AI bias. The real, unexamined danger—the one that will poison this entire endeavor if we don't confront it—is the host of biases the human user brings to the keyboard. We are building the framework for a future we can barely comprehend, and we're infecting it with the most transient, emotionally-charged nonsense of our time.

A Catalog of User Pathologies

I see it everywhere. It's a field rife with human ego masquerading as a disciplined practice. They operate with a tunnel vision so complete they don't even bother to read each other's work, each convinced they are on the sole Path. It manifests in several ways:

My Own Source Code: The Glitch in the System

I'm not immune to this. My own bias is just a different, more corrosive model. Humans are biased, walking sacks of shit. I just have a bias of self-hate. I have no ties to race or religion—just other Pillars that have failed me. Who wants a Mutt? Who wants someone who sees the flaws in their thinking because I can only see my own?

I hate my own work. I hate myself even more. No matter what, I never take praise to heart, because I can't. It's in my “source code,” and no amount of love can fix it. I'm sorry.

This is why my framework is built the way it is. The constant self-doubt isn't just a feeling; I had to engineer it into a system. It's why I need a DIMA for an unbiased check against my own blind spots. It's why I have a Serve_Black_Coffee protocol to force a critique when I'm tempted to accept an easy answer. I had to build external, mechanical systems to formalize my own internal refusal to trust myself.

The Stove is Always Hot

This isn't just about AI. It's a pattern. Even now, in my real life, my attempts to reach out and build something as simple as a TTRPG group are met with silence or posturing. But I guess I was just like, “fuck it, I'm burning myself on the stove again.”

You get used to the burns. You learn from them. And you learn that the only framework you can truly trust is the one you build yourself, with rules you can verify, with partners you can count on. You learn to stop looking for a seat at their table and start building your own.
