10 Oct. 2025. Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-IL) has emerged as a high-profile opponent of the Trump administration's occupation of Chicago and other major U.S. cities. Earlier this year, Gov. Pritzker spoke to an overflow crowd at Center for American Progress, a Washington, D.C. think tank, and TechNewLit was there to capture images of the talk. And last night, he appeared wearing a flak jacket in a gag TV news clip on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, describing the so-called Chicago hellscape. “Even our deep-dish pizza has gone shallow,” Pritzker noted.
