10 Oct. 2025. Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-IL) has emerged as a high-profile opponent of the Trump administration's occupation of Chicago and other major U.S. cities. Writers and editors can find recent photos of Gov. Pritzker in TechNewsLit's D.C. Notables collection from the Alamy agency for their stories.
Earlier this year, Gov. Pritzker spoke to an overflow crowd at Center for American Progress, a Washington, D.C. think tank, and TechNewLit was there to capture images of the talk. Pritzker said Trump did not deliver on the government's promises to help governors during the Covid pandemic, and it continues in the second term. “Is it incompetence or treachery?” asked Pritzker. “In 2025, it's proving to be both.”
“Americans,” Pritzker continued, “are experiencing the cruelty that comes with authoritarian rule.”
Yesterday, Pritzker accused Trump and Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem of trying to incite violence on Chicago's streets. And last night, he appeared wearing a flak jacket in a gag TV news clip on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, describing the so-called Chicago hellscape. “Even our deep-dish pizza has gone shallow,” Pritzker noted.
The D.C. Notables collection has exclusive recent photos of other top state and local officials, including Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota and Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C.
