I’m gonna say it:

i/o gets most of his income from a source that definitely CAN NOT BE TAXED. His day job, whatever it is, does generate a modest income and he wants to be fully compliant and an upstanding citizen with that income. And he tries to hold everyone up to his standard. Because, if everyone is beneath him in integrity, how can he be bad?

For anyone with a mild IQ can hold several thoughts at the same time.

  1. I don’t want to give out my hard-earned money.

  2. I also need the infrastructure that the government builds.

  3. I HAVE TO pay to have it done.

  4. The money is often used for corruption.

  5. I don’t want to be in trouble with the law.

  6. So I have to pay anyway.

  7. But yeah I don’t want to pay.

  8. But a temporary fun situation can be celebrated.

Just like the dude who can’t have a single ounce of empathy for his family, but cries all day for a faraway war. This is not stupidity. This is mental illness.
