Cocoon
Shaken, broken
I felt so lost
The light was fading
and so was I
I thought and planned
Determined not to quit
And, believing that I could be better,
I built myself a cocoon
I stayed inside
Growing, changing every day
Until the day I emerged
more beautiful than ever
My problems aren’t all gone
But now I have the strength to face them
And I know that when I need to
I can rest and recharge
And come back beautiful
