Don’t Let Them Break You

There will always be people
who want you to be something different
Something that you are not
Something that you don’t want to be

Even when they don’t push you to change
They can still make you feel
like you aren’t enough right now
That you need to be something more

I know how hard it is
but please try to remember
how much you mean to other people
that we love you now, the way you are

Don’t worry about the people
that don’t appreciate you for who you are
Don’t let them break you
Because it’s true, that you are special
