Fear is Not the Boss of You
Fear is not the boss of you
It can’t tell you what to do
Stand tall, look it in the eye
And tell it “You won’t take me. Not I.”
Fear is only there
to warn you of a situation unfair
To see that events might go wrong
so you can escape it before long
But you don’t need fear’s aide
Its part has already been played
If it continues to lurk about
Expel fear with a great shout
Letting fear run your life
will lead to nothing but anguish and strife
So tell fear what we know to be true
That it will never be the boss of you
