It’s Okay to Be Abnormal

It’s hard to be you
to be honest, be true
when people want you to change
when they only see you as strange

We all want to belong
To be secure, to be strong
But it’s not that simple
Because there is no normal

But some people want you to think
That you can either grow their way or shrink
That their way of living is right
That you should give up without a fight

But it’s okay to be abnormal
because I know that you are incredible
And I truly hope that one day
you too will feel that way
