People called you ugly
I don't understand why
You're a beautiful, shining rainbow
lighting up my sky
People made you promises
then broke them with such ease
While my love for you, my darling
will never, ever cease
People hurt you
in ways you simply can't forgive
But I want to give you the best of life
for as long as I live
So long as we're together
I'll make you feel heard and seen
You truly mean the world to me
