Poetry for people who could use a little kindness

Little Baby Bird

You can fly o'er the mountains, fly o'er the sea
Little baby bird, won't you fly home to me
You can see all the flowers, you can see all the bees
Little baby bird, just come back home to me

It's easier to run than to understand
It's easier to hide than to hold my hand
But there's no need to fear, no need to cry
I'll let ya go wandering, I won't ask why

You can fly o'er the mountains, fly o'er the sea
Little baby bird, won't you fly home to me
You can see all the flowers, you can see all the bees
Little baby bird, just come back home to me

We spin and we dive and we tuck and roll
But there's no way to keep a solid grip of control
You gotta let go of the ones you love
Cos they won't disappear into the sky above
Without coming back to you one day
Yeah we'll be smilin' and laughin', again we'll play

You can fly o'er the mountains, fly o'er the sea
Little baby bird, won't you fly home to me
You can see all the flowers, you can see all the bees
Little baby bird, just come back home to me

Little baby bird, one day return to me
