Look Forward to Better Days

Even when in darkness
it’s always possible to say
“It’s gonna be alright”
and look forward to better days

I’m not saying it’s easy
In fact, it’ll probably be challenging
But the alternative is to stay here
In the dark, forever falling

It’s easy to get lost
in the recesses of your own head
Scared to step into the light
Preferring the familiar darkness instead

Don’t be afraid of the unknown
Even when the path feels long
The days will get better
So start walking, and sing your own song
