Love and Wool Socks
From the days long ago
when I was very small
You've been there always
No matter the day
When I'd need somewhere to stay
during the long summer days
you opened your house to me
with short walks and blueberries
Even when I got older
you were never far away
with a smile just as warm
as the socks you made me
No matter how rough the days get
No matter how dark the night seems
You're still there waiting for me
with love and wool socks
