I was so excited to see you
that I jumped for joy and squealed
But when I ran to greet you
You backed away in fear

I didn’t understand what you said
I tried to be happy for you
But I didn’t feel anything
So you got up and left

I wanted to tell you I love you
So I found the right words
But when I spoke them to you
You pushed me away

I don’t know why I’m this way
My emotions don’t work right
But someone will understand
and accept me the way I am
