It can be easy to believe
that if you stop talking
people will walk away
and forget about you

It can be easy to feel
that if you aren't entertaining
people will grow bored of you
and move on to something else

It can be easy to look out
and see people who act
like it's no big deal to have talent
and think you'll never be good enough

It can be easy to think
that one day everyone
even those for whom you care
will simply leave you behind

But you're wrong

While you're busy
believing and feeling
looking and thinking
stop and listen

I won't walk away
I won't forget you
I like you the way you are
I believe in you

And I will never leave you behind
