No One Can Tell You How to Feel
When an old toy breaks
Even one I haven’t seen in years
it feels like a part of me
broke along with it
When a plan doesn’t work
Even after I poured my soul into it
it feels like I’m crashing to earth
from a hundred miles up
When a friend doesn’t show up
when I wanted nothing more than to see them
it feels like I’m being crushed
inside a black hole
It’s okay to feel these things
No one can tell you how to feel
Don’t be afraid to talk about them
Your emotions are special, just like you
