Take Joy in the Small Things
You didn’t get much done today
Nothing big, but that’s okay
You did a bunch of small things
and that itself is no small thing
You cleaned the dishes in the sink
That’s important, I think
A load of laundry is too
Even if that’s all you got around to
Taking out the garbage seems small
So does raking leaves from the fall
But both those things needed to get done
so don’t be afraid to let yourself have a little fun
Take joy in the small things
Because you still did something
And that can give you the push you need
to take on life’s big things, yes indeed
