The Real Me and The Real You
Even when I feel scared
or the many times I feel unprepared
I want to open up, I want you to see
The person I am, the real me
Because you see it’s true
that it’s hard for me, like it’s hard for you
No matter how much practice I get
I still want to hide in a corner and sit
And there will always be days
When I simply can’t be brave
Sometimes I can’t get out of my pit
But if that makes me weak, then so be it
Because I am going to keep trying
We can still look up and dream of flying
One day, we’ll hold hands under a sky so blue
And be the real me and the real you
