when friends for whom you cared
drifted away, making you think

when you had a purpose
and then someone else took over, and you thought
“I am replaceable”

There was a time
when these thoughts were all you had
echoing, over and over, until you thought
“I should be alone”

I hope now is the time
you see how unique you are
how special you are
and think something else

That you are not forgettable
