poems from the place between

Tethered

We are moments if not aeons;
We are candles if not stars.
We are brief and hopeful beacons
In a sea of endless dark.

Selune's soft and silver tears
Illuminate your way -
In velvet night to soothe the fears
And griefs of garish day.

If time unwinds and cannot hold,
And worlds and weave collide;
If all our tales remain untold,
And washed out by the tide;

Adrift, alone, but not apart -
Still tethered here by words and hearts.
