Anime I've Been Watching: March 2021

What I'm Currently Watching

Hajime no Ippo

Why did I start re-watching this show? I have so much other stuff to watch that I haven't seen! Well I probably won't watch beyond the first series plus the OVAs, but still! Though truth be told it's been a very enjoyable re-watch. I still read the manga as it gets translated into English and the story is currently in a good place. I'd like to see more Ippo anime adaptations, but there is a certain 400 chapters or so that would be better seen in montage form rather than a straight retelling.

I own the old DVDs of this series but have been watching through Crunchyroll as it was recently uploaded there. The new Blu-ray's of the show seem to have gotten good reviews as well!

Attack on Titan: The Final Season

Presumably this is only part one of "The Final Season" for Attack on Titan but it has been great nonetheless! I wasn't sure how everything would go with the change in studios, but the first episode was probably one of the more pleasant surprises I've seen in anime. With only one chapter left to go in the manga I'm excited and nervous to see how that goes too. Hopefully an announcement will be made regarding the next season of episodes for the show soon. Though as I write this there are still two episodes left to air as the second to last in this season was cut off due to an earthquake.

Horimiya

A cute high school romance show in which the characters grow as people and discover themselves. Ten episodes out of thirteen have aired so far and this one has been really enjoyable.

Tamako Market

A Kyoto Animation show from 2013 that I'm watching on Hi-Dive. So far it's been enjoyable but has taken a backseat to other shows at the moment.

Tanaka-kun is Always Listless

Not bad so far. I blind bought the fancy Blu-ray box for this show since it was on such a deep discount at the time!

What I'm Looking Forward To Watching In the Spring 2021 Season

My Hero Academia Season Five

Season four was the weakest season of the anime so far, but as I read the manga I'm confident that season five will be much better if adapted well!

Fruits Basket: The Final

I'm not entirely sure if this is the final cour of episodes for this adaptation of Fruits Basket, but it is at least in the home stretch. I've never seen the original anime adaptation or read the manga so these final episodes should be very interesting!

To Your Eternity

I've read a bit of the manga for this one and am curious how this adaptation will go. It should also be noted that the manga that this anime is based on is done by Yoshitoki Oima (the author of A Silent Voice).

SSSS.Dynazenon

SSSS.Dynazenon seems to be a sequel of sorts to SSSS.Gridman set in the same universe. Gridman was an intriguing anime so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this one.

Other Anime I'm Looking Forward To Watching In The Future

Demon Slayer: Infinity Train

I binged Demon Slayer a month or two ago and found it to be a fun show with fantastic animation. So this movie continuation of the story should be even better! It has made an absurd amount of money in its theatrical run and in fact continues to do so despite being released back in October in Japan.

Space Dandy

Space Dandy may have been released several years ago but I kinda dropped out of it at the time and want to go back and finish it.

Tatami Galaxy

A Masaaki Yuasa anime that aired back in 2010. I've been meaning to watch this one for awhile now!

Wonder Egg Priority

Wonder Egg Priority is a currently airing show that sounds cool. I believe it's an original production as well. Will start this one once I have the time.

So there you go! So much anime, so little time!

This is my day 75 post for #100daystooffload
